We are looking for a vibrant Full-Stack Developer to join the TrueHear project at the University of Eastern Finland. Our multidisciplinary TrueHear team develops an innovative medical solution for hearing rehabilitation. The position is located in Kuopio campus and will be filled for a fixed term from 1 August 2024, or as agreed. Role and salary

In this role, you will take part in implementing the mid- and high-fidelity software prototypes. You will be participating in the overall architectural design as well as development of the software usability. You will work alongside clinicians and researchers from various relevant fields to ensure rapid development and testing.

The salary of the position in determined in accordance with the salary system of the Finnish universities. The salary comprises two elements: a job requirement element and a personal performance element. In this position, the job requirement element is 2,787.57-3,213.69 euros/month, based on levels 8-9 of the job requirement chart for other expert and support staff. The personal performance element can be a minimum of 6 % and a maximum of 50 % of the above-mentioned sum.  Depending on the job requirement element and the personal performance element the salary will be approximately 3,060– 3,500 euros/month at the beginning of the employment relationship. Applicants have the opportunity to state their salary expectations for the position.

The position will be filled starting from 1 August 2024 (or as agreed) until 31 December 2025. A probation period will be applied for the new employee.

Expectations

  • Horizontal skillset: Prior experience of full-stack software development, or familiarity with both front- and backend development and a willingness to learn full-stack development.
  • Technologies: Experience in our key technologies: React JS user interface platform with some Python in the backend. Understanding of production code implementation.
  • Communication: Great communication skills. Fluent written English.
